A MESSAGE FROM JOHN
Dear Butler County Voters:
I am honored to announce my candidacy for Judge of the Butler County Court of Common Pleas. Butler County has shaped who I am today and I am deeply committed to giving back to the place I have always called home.
As a partner at my law firm, I have dedicated my legal career to helping individuals navigate through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. I am proud to have received the designated “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers - Rising Star”, an award that is based upon peer nominations and evaluations and bestowed upon only 2.5% of Pennsylvania attorneys. Most recently, I was recognized by Best Lawyers as “Ones to Watch” for outstanding professional excellence. I intend to bring that level of professional excellence to the bench as a judge.
Prior to my career as an attorney, I spent two years leading a program to help at-risk students at an inner-city high school. In addition, I built houses for Habitat for Humanity and did missionary work in both Africa and South America. While practicing law, I have found great fulfillment through serving on various boards throughout Butler County, including the Butler County Humane Society, Victim Outreach Intervention Center (VOICe) and the Passavant Development Corporation. I also serve as the solicitor of the Children’s Advocacy Center and am a proud member of the Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary and the Knights of Columbus. My family and I are parishioners of Saint Mark the Evangelist Parish - Saint Kilian Church in Cranberry Township.
I was born and raised in Butler County, where my parents instilled in me the values of community, hard work and helping others. As a judge, I will bring these values to the bench. I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and St. Vincent College.
I will approach the role of judge with fairness, integrity and compassion. I will ensure that everyone who enters my courtroom is treated with respect and has their case heard fairly and justly. I humbly ask for your support.
With sincere gratitude,
